Russian stocks may fall on mixed background, US–China tensions

MOSCOW, May 29 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks may decrease at the opening on Friday amid a mixed foreign background, lack of growth drivers, and the U.S.–China tensions, analysts said.

“Suspension of growth of the RTS Index is possible at the start of trading today – the activity of buyers on stock markets as a whole decreased before the speech of the U.S. president on relations with China,” Olma senior analyst Anton Startsev said.

The U.S. stock indices fell 0.2–0.6%, the U.S. stock index futures are trading slightly below the level of Thursday’s close. European stock indices closed in plus, and Asian indices are showing mixed dynamics.
